Overcoming Text Anxiety

Test anxiety can cast a dark cloud over the academic journey of some students, leaving them feeling overwhelmed and stressed. At PD Plus, we understand the toll it can take on both students and their parents. Here are some strategies to help you overcome this common challenge:

  1. Preparation is Key: Encourage your child to start studying well in advance. Create a study schedule and break down the material into small, manageable chunks.
  2. Practice, Practice, Practice: Familiarity with the subject breeds confidence. Utilize practice tests to simulate exam conditions and reduce anxiety.
  3. Deep Breathing and Mindfulness: Teach them calming techniques like deep breathing and mindfulness to combat anxiety during the test.
  4. Healthy Lifestyle: Ensure your child gets enough sleep, eats well, and exercises regularly. A healthy body can better handle stress.
  5. Seek Professional Help: If anxiety persists, consider professional help from a counselor or therapist who specializes in test anxiety.
  6.  Try EFT (tapping) for text anxiety. We have used it with kids and it has worked well.

Remember, test anxiety is common, and with the right support, students can learn to manage it effectively and pass their tests with flying colours. Together, we can help your child achieve their academic goals with confidence.
