Thank you for your interest in being a tutor with us. We are a proud BC owned and operated tutoring service committed to providing qualified and reliable tutors to our customers throughout the GVRD.

Our students and parents come to us with varying degrees of stress stemming from a variety of reasons all related to school. One of our goals is to help alleviate that stress and pressure. We love it when our students' self-esteem and confidence improves and they are imbued with a feeling of pride and accomplishment after working with one of our tutors. This is very rewarding for us at PD Plus so we hope you will consider joining us in supporting our students within our communities. Our goal is to provide an educational gift that will keep on giving to our students and families right now and throughout their lives.

We provide tutoring in all subjects (English, math, physics, chemistry, biology, social studies, ESL, foreign languages, etc.) from kindergarten to university. You will be considered for students depending upon your qualifications. Our students are located all over the Lower Mainland. All tutoring is done in our customers’ homes.

Our successful candidates will:

1) have at minimum a university degree.
2) be passionate and committed to helping students become more successful.
3) have exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
4) at minimum be reliable, honest, understanding, punctual and well-organized.
5) have local tutoring and/or teaching experience, i.e. a strong working knowledge of BC's curriculum (i.e. Integrated Resource Packages).
6) have references that address: (1) the success of your current and/or former students and (2) your work ethic.

Hours
Hours generally range from 4.00 pm. until 9.00 pm. Monday to Friday, and weekends if you are available. Lessons will range from one hour to two hours in length (most are 1 1/2).

Students study anywhere from one to three times per week and contracts are usually on-going. PD Plus requires a six-month commitment for each student we assign to you, as we want the student to have as little disruption as possible in his or her progress.

Remuneration
$24.00 per/hr for all K-12 sessions and $20.00 per/hr for adult conversation (speaking only). If reading and writing development is involved then regular rates apply.
