About Our Tutors: 
All of our tutors have been pre-screened before having an interview. Many of our staff have been teaching assistants at the university level, have been awarded scholarships, and have achieved high degrees of distinction. Only tutors who we feel are completely capable of fulfilling the needs of our clients are chosen to represent PD Plus.
Many of our tutors are B.C. certified teachers or tutors with degrees in English with tutoring experience in Canada and overseas. For math and science our tutors have their Bachelor of Science, experience tutoring, and familiarity with the BC curriculum. If you need tutoring in other languages,
several of our
tutors have additional
languages
such as French, Mandarin and Spanish.
Sandra Weal – Office Assistant
Sandra has been working for PD Plus since January 2006. She has been a wonderful addition to PD Plus in that she is well organized, enthusiastic and very efficient. Sandra loves working at PD Plus and it shows in everything that she does. We are lucky to have her on staff.
Peter Ahn, Office Manager
Peter is a landed immigrant from Korea. He has taken on the role of Korean translator and consultant for our Korean students. We feel very fortunate to have Peter working with us as he is very, friendly, energetic and eager. He can be reached at 778-888-6104.
About the Director:
Angela Bissett was born and raised in Montreal and beneficially was able to attend a respected private girls’ school. She was fortunate that her educational experience was very positive. After graduating, she attended the University of Western Ontario where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in economics in 1988. Her career has taken her across Canada; initially working in the banking sector in Toronto and later moving to Vancouver where she worked at the West Ender Community Newspaper.
Entrepreneurial at heart, she then decided to purchase a health food delivery service that became a thriving success. After selling this business she decided to build on her experiences of teaching English in Japan by obtaining her TESL diploma from UBC. After three years of private tutoring in West Vancouver she started PD Plus in the fall of 2003 and continues to enjoy working within this specific area of education; helping others to improve their educational and life experiences.
