How do you schedule tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions generally run from one hour to two hours in length on the day(s) which suit you best. We also have one-time sessions to help our students study for exams, work on projects, prepare for presentations, etc. You pick the schedule that works best for you (days and time) and we work extensively to meet your tutoring request.
Is there a minimum number of hours for tutoring with PD Plus?
There is no minimum hourly requirement with PD Plus.
What are the tutoring fees? What is the payment procedure?
The tutoring fee is $30.00 per hour for all subjects and levels. The tutor submits a timesheet and progress report
at the end of each calendar month and payments are made directly to the tutor. Either cash or cheque are accepted.
Do these fees include materials?
Yes, PD Plus has numerous materials for all subjects which are provided to the tutors and included in the fee. If additional materials need to be purchased, either the client or the tutor will purchase them. If the tutor purchases materials, they will receive permission from the client and then it is your responsibility to reimburse them.
Will I be satisfied?
Yes. We are very confident with the quality of tutors sent to you as we pride ourselves in our level of expertise, caring and dedicated staff who provide outstanding service. Should you experience any difficulties with your tutor for any reason, we will do our absolute best to solve the problem with you and the tutor. If we cannot come to a resolution that satisfies you and you wish to change tutors we will accommodate your request ASAP.
At PD Plus we are proud to say that we value and encourage receiving feedback from our clients regarding our business practices, and particularly our tutors. We follow up immediately after the first session and conduct customer satisfaction surveys to ensure our tutors are doing the best they can. It is part of our philosophy to remain open-minded so that we can continue to improve our service to you – our clients.
What is the cancellation policy?
Clients are asked to give 24 hours notice to their tutor if they need to cancel a lesson.
If a tutor arrives at your door and the lesson is then cancelled, you will be asked to pay for one hour. In turn, should the tutor need to re-schedule, they will do so directly through the client as early as they possibly can. If you wish to terminate your tutoring sessions you are required to give the Director seven days notice.
